Studio Policies

These guidelines are here to support a positive, respectful, and effective learning environment, and to help you get the most out of your lessons.

Booking & Lesson Options

Lessons are available as:

Single (ad hoc) 45, 60 or 90-minute bookings, or

Lesson packs (4 or 8 60-minute lesson packs)

All lessons are booked individually via the online scheduling system. Ongoing weekly time slots are not reserved, so you have the flexibility to book sessions in a way that suits your schedule.

Getting Started

New clients begin with an initial consultation, which gives us a chance to explore your voice, your goals, and whether we’re a good fit for ongoing work.

Lesson packs are offered following this session where appropriate.

Lesson Packs

4-Pack: 4 × 60-minute lessons (valid for 120 days)

8-Pack: 8 × 60-minute lessons (valid for 180 days)

Lesson packs are designed to support consistent progress while still allowing flexibility around your schedule and personal pacing.

Scheduling & Frequency

Most clients find the best results come from lessons at weekly or fortnightly intervals, as this supports continuity and momentum.

At the same time, you’re welcome to space your lessons in a way that works for you, provided they are used within the validity period.

Booking in advance is recommended, particularly if you have limited availability or preferred times.

Rescheduling & Missed Lessons

Life happens, and some flexibility is important. At the same time, clear boundaries help keep things running smoothly for everyone.

Lessons can be rescheduled with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice

Each lesson may be rescheduled once

Rescheduled lessons must be used within the validity period of your pack

Lessons cannot be moved beyond the expiry date of your package

Changes made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or failure to attend a scheduled lesson, will result in the lesson being forfeited.

If I Need to Reschedule

If I ever need to cancel or move a lesson, I’ll offer an alternative time or return the lesson to your pack.

Validity & Expiry (Lesson Packs)

Lesson packs are valid for a set period from the date of purchase:

4-pack: 120 days (approx. 4 months)

8-pack: 180 days (approx. 6 months)

Any unused lessons will expire after this time.

Refunds & Transfers

Lesson purchases and packages are non-refundable and not exchangeable for other services.

Lesson packs are intended for individual use and are not transferable, unless otherwise agreed.

Health & Wellbeing

If you’re unwell or contagious, please reschedule your lesson in advance where possible.

If rescheduling isn’t possible, lessons can be moved online to ensure your session is not forfeited. If your voice is affected and it’s not appropriate to sing, we can still use the session productively by focusing on areas such as breathing, listening and analysis, songwriting, ear training, or general musicianship and theory.

Lessons will not be conducted in person if you attend while clearly unwell, and in this case the lesson will be forfeited.

Your Responsibility

To get the most out of your lessons, you agree to:

book sessions within the validity period

check availability before purchasing a pack

schedule lessons in a way that supports your progress
